This document is intended to outline the business policies
and procedures used by Christie Lacy Photography.
Copyright Information: All images copyrighted by photographer, Christie Lacy. It is illegal and unlawful to scan, copy, or reproduce Christie Lacy’s work in any manner or medium and punishable by law with fines starting at $150,000. As an artist, Christie Lacy wishes to have complete control over the final look of her client’s images, and scanned images damage her reputation as a photographer by distorting and devaluing the image quality. Thank you for respecting Christie’s work and livelihood by choosing not to reproduce her images.
Print Orders: Print orders must be made and paid in full at the preview session in order to receive special pricing. All other orders will have to refer to regular pricing. For those previewing online, your online gallery expires within 7 days. It is highly recommended that you make your purchasing decisions within this time frame. If you you wish to re-publish your gallery for an additional 3 days, a $50 fee will incur for each 3 day period it is extended.
Exclusive Photographer: Please only bring the people that will be photographed to the session. Also, please do not bring your own camera, camcorder, or recording device to the session.
Before Your Session: Please have your children dressed and ready to go for their session. This includes hair combing and having their faces clean. Children are more likely to become grouchy if they are fussed with too much before the session.
Final Prints: Your final print order will be delivered approximately 2-3 weeks after your previewing session. Canvases and painted portraits may take up to 4-6 weeks. Christie will contact you by phone in order to set up a convenient time for your images to be picked up.
Minimum Purchase: Christie Lacy Photography has a $300 print order commitment for all of our session options; the Premiere, the Classic, and the Newly Born.
Portrait Care: Handle your portraits with extreme care. Damage incurred as a result of improper handling, framing or hanging is the responsibility of the client.
Retainer Policy: A non-refundable retainer for your session is due at the time of scheduling your appointment. This guarantees the time and date allotted for you. Should payment not be received in this time frame, Christie reserves the right to offer the date and time to another client.
Sales are Final: Due to the custom nature of each session, all sales final – proof books that are purchased are not returnable.
Designs & Cards: Three pre-made card designs will be shown to you. You may make up to three small revisions, any additional revisions will be charged at $50 per hour. For collages, if you’d like revisions after a collage or storyboard has been shown to you, you must first pay a non-refundable retainer on the purchase of a collage. No further revisions will be made without such retainer.
Retouching: Any retouching beyond the basic retouching we automatically do (small facial scars, blemishes, eye circles) will be charged a fee of $50 per hour. This includes braces, removal of logos/words on shirts, etc.
Album Policy: Oftentimes Christie will show an image in both black and white, and color. When purchasing the session album, you will not receive both versions of an image; rather Christie will include whichever version is artistically more appealing.
Re-Shoots: Re-shoots are at the discretion of the photographer and are not given for regretful personal choices such as hair and clothing choices.
Under the Weather: If your child is feeling ill, please call to reschedule. Christie understands that sometimes, this happens. If you must cancel, please try to do so at least 48 hours before your session.
Travel Fee: A $65 travel fee is required for all locations out of a 10 mile radius of the 77429 area code.
Payments:Christie Lacy Photography accepts cash and checks; and all major credit cards.
Personal Checks: Checks returned by the bank, for any reason, will be charged a $25.00 service charge and all orders will be cancelled if they are not paid in full within three days of notification.
Usage: Christie Lacy Photography reserves the right to use the negatives and/or reproductions for display, publication, or other purposes. Negatives and originals remain the property of Christie Lacy Photography.
Reprints: All ordered images will be kept on file for one year after your initial order. All images that are not ordered will be kept on file for one week only. You are welcome to place a re-print order from the images you originally purchased. There is a $150 minimum on re-prints.
Tax: 7.25% Sales Tax is required by law to be collected with all purchases.
