This journal was created in an effort to allow for space, both in the heart as well as time, to pray to God more intentionally. In my own prayer life, I have found that there are several tools that I might use, methods, products, etc. But in one form or another, I always felt something lacking. To me, that something was the Gospel and Scripture.

As I have found my theology growing more deeply, I have found that I need to pray more intentionally. This means “preaching the Gospel” to myself, because I am a wanderer and am so easily prone to forget it. Likewise, I have found that as my theology deepens, my use of Scripture must follow suit. How does Scripture inform my prayers, my doubts, my longings? As you see in the pages set before you, this is a humble attempt to put into one place all of the things I’ve found so vital during my prayer time. I hope it blesses your time, as well.
